Big Ideas: Measurement problems may require more than one conversion of units. When solving problems using multiple units, smaller units should be converted first. In second grade, students used centimeters and meters to estimate and measure lengths. In this lesson, students will continue to develop knowledge of the size of these units and will also become familiar with kilograms. Students will learn to use two conversion tables for converting meters to centimeters as well as kilometers to meters within the same problem. Vocabulary: centimeter, meter, kilometer
