Big Ideas: Understand that squares and hexagons can be inscribed in a circle using the properties of quadrilaterals and triangles. In this task, students will use only a straightedge and compass to construct an inscribed square and an inscribed hexagon. Students will use their compasses to construct perpendicular bisectors and to create congruent segments. Vocabulary: construct, diameter, center, radius/radii, perpendicular, bisect, inscribe, isosceles, vertices, Side-Angle-Side, congruent Special Materials: compass straight edge/ruler
