Big Ideas: Equations of functions can be transformed to reveal graphs of similar shapes and or with different positions on the coordinate grid. Students make predictions about the graphs of various equations of functions. They test their prediction and compare it to the actual graph. Students understand that transforming the equation of a function will maintain the basic shaped of the function's graph. Special Materials: Various colored pencils Graph paper Straight edge or ruler
