Big Ideas: We can use transformations to change the size of a figure. In similar figures, corresponding sides are proportional and corresponding angles are congruent. The tasks in this lesson require students to create similar figures by using proportional sides and congruent angles. Students will use prior knowledge of similar triangles and proportionality to solve for the missing side(s) or angle. Vocabulary: similarity, proportionality Special Materials: Grid paper
