This should give an overview of the lesson plan, including vocabulary and any special materials needed for the lesson plan.
We recommend keeping it to 1-2 paragraphs.
You'll gain access to interventions, extensions, task implementation guides, and more for this lesson plan.
Big Ideas:
Sequences can be viewed as the outputs of a function, with a set of integers as the inputs. The integers chosen as inputs depend on the rule for the function.
This lesson extends the idea of a function to include sequences and requires students to think flexibly about the inputs that might be used to create a sequence. This lesson sets the stage for further work with both arithmetic and geometric sequences in F.BF.2 and supports the idea of writing functions to describe a relationship between two quantities in F.BF.1
