Big Ideas: Coordinate geometry can be used to determine existing properties of a quadrilateral. Students will use the properties to classify the quadrilateral. In this lesson students will recognize that they can identify a parallelogram by determining if its opposite sides are congruent. Students will use the slope formula to determine further classification. Vocabulary: parallelogram, rectangle, rhombus, square, opposite sides, distance, parallel, perpendicular
