Big Ideas: Students will be able to make basic constructions such as angle copies, segment copies, and parallel lines. Students will be able to explain why compass arcs are important for each construction Students should have an understanding of the basic geometric objects including points, lines, segments, angles and rays before this lesson. Students will learn how to make some basic geometric constructions while developing an understanding of how arcs are an important factor when making constructions.
