Big Ideas: Real life complex situations can be modeled using geometric concepts. This task builds on work from previous math courses as well as the current course. Students are asked to use a scale drawing to solve a design problem. The task calls on students to apply previous knowledge to answer questions about a design problem, yet it is a task whose concept is simple enough so that all students are able to access the learning. Vocabulary: scale, length, volume, dimensions, restrictions Special Materials: copies of the scale drawing (optional)
