Big Ideas: Measurements of time given in hours can be written as an equivalent amount in minutes by using multiplication. In this task, students will have to apply their knowledge of unit conversion of time in order to solve a problem involving combining different blocks of time. They should represent their solution using a number line as well as through equations. Vocabulary: second, minute, hour, sum, difference. Special Materials: pre-made number line (optional)
