8.9.2 Digital Applets: Regular Tessellations and Regular Tessellation for Other Polygons

This is an assignable version of the digital applet that goes with Grade 8, Unit 9, Lesson 2: Regular Tessellations.

Assign this activity to students so that they can explore tessellations of the plane with different polygons.

Students using the applet should still note their responses to each question on paper so that they can fully participate in the activity and lesson synthesis discussions. Teachers assigning the applets should still note any important class discussions in the activity preparation, as well as demonstrate how to use each tool before giving students time to work on the activity.
