Big Ideas: An important part of mathematics is being able to critique your work and the work of others. You can use mathematical properties and logical reasoning to convince others you are correct. This lesson builds on students' knowledge of writing and solving two-step inequalities from real world scenarios. The task asks students to reassemble steps to two inequalities and match them with the property or reason that justifies the step. They must also fill in missing values and correct errors that they find, justifying their reasoning. This builds toward students' future work in fluently solving two-step inequalities in grades 7 and 8. Special Materials: Supplementary Handout, 1 copy per student
