Lesson objective: Solve problems by creating an order of events based on information from digital clocks, analog clocks, and a schedule.

This lesson provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and understanding of telling time to the hour to a real-life situation. Students are asked to interpret information from analog clocks, digital clocks, and a schedule to determine an order of events.

Key Concept students will use:

  • We can tell and write time to the hour using analog and digital clocks.

Skills students will use:

  • Telling time to the hour

Students engage in Mathematical Practice 1 as they make sense of problems and persevere in solving them by interpreting information on the clocks and schedule and determining the correct series of events.
