Lesson objective: Read and say time to the hour using analog clocks with the hour hand only.

This lesson helps to build fluency with analog clocks set to the hour. Clocks with the hour hand only are used here because they help students see how time is organized into hours. This work develops students' understanding that each numeral on a clock face represents a different hour.

Students engage in Mathematical Practice 6 as they attend to precision while accurately reading the time displayed on an analog clock.
