• Use partial quotients to solve division problems
• Interpret remainders in a division problem
• Choose a strategy to solve multiplication problems

Students engage in Mathematical Practice 8 (Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning) as they apply principles of place value and operations to solve real-world problems. Students can use partial quotients, an area model, or the standard alogoithm for multiplication.
