Big Ideas: We can draw a bar or picture graph to represent data. Data and graphs can be analyzed for information. This lesson builds on students' work with organizing data in picture graphs and bar graphs. This task centers around collecting data for the yearbook committee. Students will write a survey question, collect the data, organize a data table, and create a picture graph. This builds towards students' future work of analyzing data from different sources to answer questions and justify their answers with data.
