In lesson 7 of this unit, students read paragraphs 18-22 of “The Fringe Benefits of Failure, and the Importance of Imagination” to explore an alternate presentation of the benefits of failure that is similar to Jobs’ discussion of failure in his commencement address. Although the messages are similar, Jobs and Rowling display different styles as writers.
