Lesson objective: Multiply and divide measurement values. 

This lesson helps to build fluency with mutlplication and division of measurement values. Tape diagrams are used here to show both multiplication and division as viable solutions. This work develops students' understanding that the relationship between multiplication and division sometimes enables us to choose which operation to use; not all problems are either "multiplication problems" or "division problems".

Students engage in Mathematical Practice 7 (Look for and make use of structure) as they see that "multiplication" problems can be solved using division.  "Divison" problems can be solved using mutlplication. Students will see this using tape diagrams.
