The culminating task brings together the previous days' support questions, and will draw out students' knowledge both of specific details of the book and of the book's main topic. Students will recall that Arnold's tree changes with the different seasons, and that Arnold stays with his tree throughout the different seasons. Students will be able to draw a way in which Arnold uses the tree in each of the different seasons. This series of close reading lesson plans was created by a member of the 2015 Delaware Dream Team. Special Materials: Students will need a copy of the anchor text. One page for each of the seasons, with the name of the seasons and the description of the tree. Template attached.
