This lesson focuses on the author and the author's message. It is important to hold a class discussion about the leaders in America during this time period and how the Revolutionary War came about. Also, there are some key vocabulary terms that should be taught within the lesson. This lesson will lead to a better understanding of the author's purpose for writing this publication and will help the students form the main idea of the passage.
