This series of close reading lesson plans was created by a member of the 2015 Delaware Dream Team. In today's lesson, students will revisit the fable "The Rooster and the Fox" and independently complete a culminating task by answering a text-dependent question. In the text "The Rooster and the Fox", the author is trying to teach you that you should not trust everything someone says. What are two details in the story that support this lesson? See suggestions for student work below. Special Materials: Students will need a copy of the anchor text. Depending on the students' ability level, a graphic organizer maybe be needed for them to complete the culminating writing task.
