Lesson 36: Discussing Quindlen’s style and content contribute to the persuasiveness of “Quilt of a Country”

Students discuss how Quindlen’s style and content contribute to the persuasiveness of her thesis in “A Quilt of a Country.” They also consider Quindlen’s definition of the American Dream and evaluate whether or not she feels it is attainable.  Students compare Quindlen’s definition to Whitman’s definition of the American Dream.
