Big Ideas: Calculate the area of a sector and relate it to the area of a circle. Students will use the formula for the area of a sector and relate it to the area of a circle. Students will work with angles in radians and degrees and practice converting a diameter to a radius. The lesson asks students to compare two sectors to determine which sector has the greater area.
