The focus question on day 2 requires readers to look at various text features of fiction, such as the structure of the text, character traits, and word choice. The big take away of the day is to determine how the events throughout the text lead to Arachne's transformation. By understanding this transformation, readers will be able to follow how Arachne's development corresponds with the structure of the plot. This lesson will help readers collect evidence from each event in the text to support thematic thinking in the culminating task.
