Today's culminating writing task asks students to pull evidence from multiple parts of the text that support the central idea of the passage. This is aligned with RI.6.2 in that students must write a summary free from their own bias that is firmly grounded in textual evidence. The text-dependent questions from the previous four days have prepared students to think about the organization and central ideas of this text.
