The initial driving question for this unit is: "How does the definition of the rock cycle support the title the author chose for the chapter, “Earth’s Changing Surface: Rocks and Minerals”?" and students should continue to focus on Chapter 2. For this lesson, students should closely read the section on the rock cycle. They will also need to pay close attention to the illustrations. Special Materials: Students will need a copy of the text, "Earth's Changing Surface: Rocks and Minerals" (included in this lesson).
