This lesson focuses on the sequence of events in "Rumpelstiltskin" while continuing to assist students in navigating through the archaic language and providing evidence from the text. This lesson fits in with the day five question, which deals with how characters' motivations, traits, and feelings contribute to the sequence of events. Today, students reread the entire text with a partner. Text-dependent questions are more complex today, so a think-pair-share activity will be carried out for each. The focus question should be completed independently. Student responses to the focus question can be collected and used as a formative assessment to determine which students should watch the comprehension skill video.
