In this last day of close reading lessons, students independently complete a written assignment that requires them to synthesize their learning from all four previous days. They will recount what they've learned about the character of the speaker, including his motivation for acting in the poem, to determine the central message of the poem. Students should use their notes (both shared class notes and individual) from the previous days to help them craft their responses.
