In this lesson, students will build on previous knowledge about Paul Martin's point of view on Parker with the perspectives of others in the text, which will then be used in the culminating writing assessment in determining the author's purpose. Students will dive into the particular section of the text in which Paul Martin presents different perspectives in order to determine the meaning of words and phrases used.
