Lesson 19: “Providence” reading with fluency and review the influence of point of view

Students practice reading the poem “Providence” with fluently and with expression. Students determine how different points of view can influence a reader by comparing a firsthand account to a secondhand account.  Students reflect on how knowing these differences between first and third person accounts will help them write their account of living through a natural disaster.
