Students will practice the brainstorming step of the narrative writing process with the short video “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore.” Students will outline the story elements and the sequence of events and add dialogue to events through partner discussion, class discussion. The class will fill in the story elements chart and the sequence of events chart together on enlarged, chart-paper versions.
