This lesson includes the last major concept needed for students to answer the culminating writing task. At this point in the unit, students have determined how rocks form, change, and become fossils. This lesson focuses on how natural forces cause changes in rocks that allow scientists to uncover fossils. Students will look at how the author uses real-world examples to illustrate the scientific concepts covered in this section of the text. Special Materials: Students will need a copy of the anchor text and student notes sheet.
