Senior Operations Engineer

You will play a key role in building LearnZillion’s technology platform and shaping its future. You will work closely with upper management and the engineering team.

We are looking for a talented producer/writer/editor to help run our blog. This internship offers an opportunity to develop your skills by creating high quality, multi-media content, and contribute to a fast-growing, entreprenurial organization.
LearnZillion is a well-funded, fast growing education technology start-up focused on empowering K-12 educators and students. Founded by a former principal and teacher, the LearnZillion online platform provides our user base of more than 250,000 educators with more than 10,000 common core resources made by and for teachers. To date, teachers have used our resources to build their own content knowledge, plan lessons, aid children with learning disabilities, engage parents in their child’s learning, and more.
About the role
We are looking for a fantastic person to help produce our blog, The LearnZillion Insider. This role also involves working with our 200+ teacher lesson creator community, and developing new content through webinars and podcasts.
As a member of the Marketing & Customer Experience Team, you will:
- Assist in the creation and execution of the marketing calendar
- Write content to engage relevant communities in the education space
- Repurpose webinars into podcasts and blog posts
- Review all editorial content for quality and SEO

Experienced writer. You have written for a blog or publication before. You have an eye for what writing style and content best engages a particular audience through a particular mediums. You have experience using WordPress and love anything related to SEO.
Organized. You hit deadlines. You can manage multiple projects at once.
Team Player. You take feedback well. You are comfortable giving feedback. You are eager to learn and help others to learn.
Knowledgeable about the K-12 education space. You take interest to the day-to-day challenges and mindset of teachers. You are aware of the current issues affecting the education space.
